Submissions
The Barons Court exists to create memorable experiences for its audiences and local community.
We aim to be a playground for artists and stage a mixture of new writing, reimagined classics, musicals and works in translation that speak to what it means to be alive now. We're a place to incubate ideas and welcome artists from all backgrounds and levels of experience.
Does this sounds like the right home for your play? Then we'd love to hear from you.
Send us an email to get the start the conversation.
Be sure to include:
-
Please tell us about the play you'd like to stage with us. Tell us why it's a good fit for our space and mission, and why it's important to you.
-
Tell us a bit about who your work is for or who you want to see in the audience.
-
Please give us some background info about where you are in your fundraising and team building.
-
Please send over a copy of the current draft (if it is a new play) and confirmation that you have the performance rights.
-
Please let us know more about your preferred dates and the proposed length of run.
We highly recommend that you review our current programming and come see a show before writing in about your project.
Hire Basics
The Barons Court is a 52-seat theatre beneath the Curtain's Up Pub in W14.
We hire the Barons Court on a weekly basis for runs of 1 - 3 weeks.
Performances are usually Tues - Saturday at 7:00pm or 7:30pm. Matinees are on a case by case basis.
The hire fee is £950 per week with a 20% deposit upon booking. We take no other fees beyond the hire cost and you would keep all of the income from ticket sales.
Your additional expenses would include things like marketing materials, a technician to operate your show, and your production's running costs.
If you have an idea but don't have funding in place, get in touch, and we'll chat through your options.

Writer Play Submissions
Barons Court Theatre is not a producing house, and we have a limited capacity to produce shows.
However, there are several next steps available if you would like us to consider your show for programming.
If you feel your script is production-ready, we suggest that you begin putting together a team (director, producer) and start fundraising for your production. Once you have a team, please write to us and send us your script with details about your timeline. We'd be happy to meet with you and discuss your project at that stage.
If you feel your script would benefit from further development, then you're very welcome to submit a 10-minute excerpt to our monthly scratch night, The Sunday Fix. Participating in the event is a great way to get feedback, network with directors and actors, and for us to get to know your work. More information can be found here.
