Ulysses in Babel

by Vivian Allvin

27 - 31 August 2024, 7.30 pm

Straight from the Edinburgh Fringe comes a show about myths, languages, and immigration!

How we sound. Who we are. What we have to say.
‘Ulysses in Babel’ is a journey inspired by the Greek myth of Ulysses, suspended between heaven and hell, with just a touch of Babylonian confusion:
Languages, dialects, and accents. In Britain, they carry extra baggage: Class. How can a foreigner resist the temptation to have a go?

From the upper-class twit to the quintessential English head tilt, we’ll hit every stereotype in the book, with minimal (and only vaguely Marxist) swearing.

Come get lost in translation, amidst gods and alley cats!
