Incident at Vichy
by Arthur Miller

28 - 29 April 2024, 7:30pm

Vichy, France, 1942. In the midst of uncertain times, a group of men find themselves suddenly captured. Left alone to ruminate in a confined setting, they ponder what their detainment foreshadows. As ideologies clash and fear runs amuck, the looming threat of the German Army rears its head, causing even the sharpest of minds to grapple with the harsh realities of a war like no other.

Incident at Vichy is an intensely powerful play raising questions about man's reaction in the face of authoritarian regimes, themes that are as relevant today as they were when the play was written.  But apart from these eternal questions, it is also a very personal insight into how a group of very different men react to their impending fate.  Important questions in the hands of one of the greatest playwrights of the 20th century.
