Solo Play Day
An initiative by WEST Theatre Association

24 - 29 November 2025

Solo Play Day is an international monodrama festival initiated in 2024 by WEST Association. Based on an idea from Pro English Theatre in Kyiv, Solo Play Day aims to offer a platform to solo artists, and to connect theatres across borders.

The festival happens in multiple countries at the same and, although each venue will program independently, the festival encourages meetings, exchanges and collaborations between participating venues.

The first edition of the festival in 2024 took place in New Zealand, UK, Ukraine and USA. For the 2025 edition, England, Scotland, New Zealand, South Africa and Ukraine are confirmed participants, with venues in Japan and USA to be confirmed.

Barons Court Theatre was part of the first edition of Solo Play Day festival in 2024 with two shows from Argentinian writer Monica Maffia - Raw (En Carne Viva) and Complete Sex (Sexo Total). We are currently looking for solo plays to be part of this year's festival.
