Two one-act plays. Two worlds. One unforgettable evening.
Join us for an evening of two one-act plays. INTERIM by Christopher Woods and Tea With Marie (Antoinette) by Dawn Branch, two sharp, funny, and thought-provoking stories about waiting, wanting, and what it means to move on.
INTERIM by Christopher Woods
Set in the eternal present of Purgatory, a Missourian and a Brit from Penzance find themselves sharing a single room, and a single chair, simply because they died a minute apart. With nothing to do but wait, they quarrel, reminisce, and cling to the only possession they have left: the right to sit.
When word arrives that a letter from Rome may change everything, even the rules of the afterlife, they must face an impossible choice: move on, or stay with what they know.
Tea with Marie (Antionette) by Dawn Branch
When modern-day Manon accidentally summons Marie Antoinette into her apartment, an unexpected tea party sparks a hilarious and heartfelt clash between centuries. As they debate privilege, purpose, and the pressures placed on women, both discover surprising truths about power, fulfillment, and choice.
A sharp, funny, and touching one-act about what it means to stop waiting for life to begin, and start living
Directed by Charlie Barker & Grace Clarke.
